Canadian Age-Group World Championship Team:
Ottawa International Triathlon is your BEST chance to qualify for the 2018 World Triathlon Championships in Queensland, Australia. Ottawa offers 10 spots per age group / per gender, if your looking to compete against International athletes at the World Championships next year, this event is your best chance. Further information on eligibility is available at triathloncanada.com
One Event Per Athlete:
Under ITU Competition Rules (rule 2.5i) athletes are only allowed to compete in one event in a 36 hour period (if one of those events is of Standard Distance or greater). This means that age-group athletes must select either the Sprint Distance Triathlon OR the Canadian Standard Distance Triathlon. Athletes cannot compete in both triathlon events.
